Your Cancellation Options
We would like to thank you for your patience as we've tried to navigate our way through the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic and as we announced the cancellation of all our remaining 2020 events and the 2020 Chester Triple.
Our full focus has now turned to our 2021 events and how we can come back with a full calendar of extra special events. We would of course love for you to be a part of them too!
The 39th Essar Chester Half Marathon will take place on the 16th May 2021.
There are various options available for runners entered into the 2020 Essar Chester Half Marathon at the time of cancellation, these are outlined in the event email all runners received on 16th July and in the boxes below.
Please make a decision by 31st July 2020 after this date you are waiving your rights to choose an option and your entry will be cancelled.
If you won a free place, used a discount or charity code to enter into the 2020 Essar Chester Half Marathon, you have automatically been deferred to 2021.
Please read through all options below and use the email you were sent on 16th July to decide which option you would like to accept.

If you can't make the 2021 race date (16th May) or want to complete the Half Marathon virtually, we are giving you the opportunity to transfer to the Virtual race. You can run the virtual race on any day you like, until the 20th September. |

If you'd rather take part in the full event and experience all the fun that the Essar Chester Half Marathon race day has to offer, we are giving you the opportunity to defer your entry place to the 2021 Essar Chester Half Marathon which will take place on the 16th May 2021. |

Normally we are not able to offer refunds but these are unprecedented times and your continued support of our races is important to us.
Please note that by opting for a 50% refund your entry will be cancelled and your rights to defer to 2021 will be waived, this cannot be undone. |

This option is only intended for runners who have entered the race using a transfer from another runner or using a free place, and who are unable to make the date of the 2021 Essar Chester Half Marathon scheduled for 16th May or have decided that running a Half Marathon is not for them. |
